Many praised the self-titled Accu album, released in 2002; Muzik magazine called it “Beach Boys meeting Happy Mondays for serious loungecore” and trade magazine Music & Media described the debut as “Abba laced with Yello”. The single “Surrounding Love” got a good response from radio programmers and the video was played heavily on MTV Nordic.
The single “In The City” has enormous cross over potential and can appeal to the serious clubhead and the serious pop fanatic at the same time. The superior productions skills of Lacce Väyrynen results in a sound that is fresh, yet strangely familiar at the same time.
The band is known to swell in size for live sessions, integrating a wide variety of musicians, while maintaining a respectable output of frenzy for the sound-system version of their performances.
