Baba Sheriff / Fala Fala

Fat Beat Sound System was founded in the early nineties to slow down. Starting as a 100% improvised quartet with two dj:s and two horns the band slowly developed into a Fat rhythm machine.

The players are active in many different projects (Nu Spirit Helsinki, Giant Robot, XL etc.) so Fat Beat Sound System has become a sofa, a resting place for the members. This you can definitely hear on the debut album Fala Fala. The songs are usually conceived by the whole group together, that is why the sound is so organic. This is a live band. And remember, the fatter the safer!
