Complications is the second compilation release on the Exogenic Breaks Label. Featured are familiar names such as Brothomstates, Koneveljet, KOE and SoSo as well as great new talent.
Brothomstates launches the trip with Naeae Eletrok, which was released on vinyl a couple of years ago. The pressing of 500 copies sold out immediately. This track is available on CD for the first time. Centro 53 continues on an electro tip with the track Purnaus. Veikka Erkola is a former Brothomstates member and is now concentrating on his Centro 53 and Ercola projects in addition to doing production work for among others Rinneradio.
Accu´s remix of SoSo´s version of Alone Together brings us into a smoky jazz club with a regular band jamming. DJ Vähämieli draws his inspiration from the Finnish tango and schlager masters of the past for his film-like piece Parasite of Power. Whatnot treat us to breaks charged jazz with a pinch of dub funk thrown in for good measure.
Koneveljet parade a selection historical personage before us accompanied by an uncompromising beat in this live version of Kompa, recorded at the Koneisto festival in 2001. Kiwa are familiar to the psy-trance crowd through their numerous releases on Exogenic and other labels. Phattmuffin indicates how versatile this band really is. Hazy Shade of a Criminal gives credit where credit is due. This is the live version of KOE´s homage to Public Enemy.
Nazal Snax in Spanish Hour shows that they are a stylistically open-minded trio with funky chill-out grooves. In addition to computers and synthesizers, their instrumentation includes bass guitar, flute and percussion ranging from djembe to marimba.
Electro Illusion smoothly catapults the listener into outer space with the track Under the Seas of Neptune.
