Violently Hippy rmxs is the third compilation release on Exogenic Breaks Records. This time we are offering remixes of music by progressive spacerock band Hidria Spacefolk.
The music is spiced with influences from many cultures as well as with Finnish humaneness resulting in an extremely pleasurable listening experience. Eastern melancholic intonation combined with the distinct progressive rock sound makes chills run down your spine. This album is known to convert rockers to ravers, it also appeals to the tastes of experienced electronic afficionados. The brilliant and diverse remixes respect and maintain the feeling of the original material.
The album kicks of with a remix of “Terra Hidria” by Possible Apple. The melancholic theme and the primitive hypnotic rhythms coaxes to listen more.
The second track by Hidria´s own son Sami Wirkkala a.k.a Man From Hidria establishes the mood of soft rhythms and natural sounds.
On track 4 Ghettoblaster Sound give “Sindran Rastafan” the dub treatment.
Other remixers on the album include Texas Faggott, Stealth Unit Sound Collective, Kiwa, LB, and Accu´s dancefloor friendly electrobreaks version of “Kaneh Bosm”.
Last but not least comes Reuna´s epic breaks interpretation of “Pangaia”.
